How to play Wordle

PuzzleVault’s Wordle-style game is a free word guessing puzzle with no daily limit. Choose a shorter word for a quick break or a longer word for a tougher challenge.

1. Type a word of the required length and press Enter.
2. Green means the right letter in the right place. Yellow means the letter belongs somewhere else. Gray means it is not needed in the answer.
3. Use the colors to improve your next guess. Find the word before your guesses run out, then choose Next puzzle to play again.

Choose your challenge

Easy uses 4-letter words and 7 guesses. Medium uses 5-letter words and 6 guesses. Hard uses 7-letter words and 5 guesses.

A tip to get started

Start with a word containing several common letters. If you try the same letter twice, the colors only mark as many copies as the answer contains.

Is this the official daily Wordle?

No. This is PuzzleVault’s independent Wordle-style game. You can play as many rounds as you like, and it does not use the official daily answer.
